Wonderful! I picked out a few things and they were all delicious! My favorites were the raspberry turnover and the little (can't remember the name) pancakes. It was all good enough that my family stopped in there a few times during our stay in Leavenworth. The people behind the counters were also fun to talk to! I would highly recommend stopping in trying something if you're thinking about it. I didn't have any of their drinks or coffee, but they're there if that helps convince you to go!
I've been here twice and both times were a disappointment. The first time I had a pretzel and an apple turnover. The pretzel was cold and flavorless and the cheap cheese barely warm enough to be a semi liquid. The second visit I had another turnover and it was like the first, cold and was made at least the day before. The girlfriend had an apple fritter thing that she said wasn't too bad but would have been better warm.
Cash only, pretty good snacks
Stale pretzels and so so pastries - I am not sure how the reviews are so hyped we tried twice the week of christmas and both times ended up throwing away most of what we bought. The pretzels seemed a day or two old - not like either Bavaria or even a mall pretzel. Frankly one from walmart that was frozen and microwaved would have been better. The equal test was my kids - age 6 and 9 who love most sweets were equally disappointed by the pastries they each tried Save your money and go elsewhere .
Nice cute traditional bakery. Like the selection of pastries they had on offer, only had a cream horn thing but was really nice, and I enjoyed the coffee
Unfortunately, every single overpriced thing we bought was stale or had almost no flavor. Really wanted to like this place.
They will make your wish come true, great breakfast danish, you can order ahead, very awesome!
Not very good to be honest. Super cute building though.
Great pastries and cheerful service! Loved the florentinas with mocha cream and schillerlockens with the chocolate sprinkles. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
*cash only be aware*Ambience was okayPastries are given room temp which isn’t too much of a problem but I imagine if they were served warm...would be a game changerStraight forward food
This review is just for the Almond Kringle because it's the only thing that we ordered - twice! I've read mixed reviews of the pastries and pretzels, but the Almond Kringle is to die for - It's buttery, flaky, custardy and delicious! The granulated sugar and slivered almonds on top provide the perfect crunch. We had it each morning with coffee. The staff was very nice. The decor was cute. Cash and checks only. I'll be back.
Pastries were a bit dry. They also don't take credit cards.
Love their danishes! Cute little shop!
Yummy Pretzels 😋😍🥨🥨Store is decorated beautifully and some paintings are also there. When I look at the store from outside , the Decorations attracted me.😍I went inside and ordered pretzel. It is yummy and they have various other options. Italian sodas, Mochas , Lattes etcI am glad finding good bakery in Leavenworth.
I was surprised that so many people liked this. Full disclosure, I lived in Europe for a long time so I think I was expecting more and should take american glowing reviews with a grain of salt. The fillings were too sweet, a pound of sugar was poured on top, and the pastry itself was so dry it was crumbling in your hand as you tried to hold/eat it. We ended up throwing it all away. As I looked up from the trash can I noticed the walls had patches of dust on them, pretty disgusting. Was glad we didn’t eat it after seeing that.
Unfortunately I didn't like it. Definitely wouldn't prefer again. The bakeries are very sweet - too sweet. .The hot chocolate is very sweet too. It is like more sweet than regular dunkin donuts hot chocolate. Nothing very special or good. Starbucks hot chocolate is much much better.
Bring cash because they do not take credit cards. Who does amazing though
We tried the "world famous" cinnamon bread and an apple strudel: both were dry and did not taste fresh (despite assurances that they were same day baked from the staff)
Best cheese Danish ever, Apple strudel is amazing,
This was our favorite bakery in all of the Washington and became the first place would stop when visiting Leavenworth to get a true Bavarian Pretzel and a proper Danish... However, today when we stopped in for those amazing reminiscent flavors, we got just plain doe... The danish tasted like it was made 3 days ago and the pretzel was just bread with salt on it. Pretzels are brown in color, slightly crispy with a soft inside and distinctive flavor, but this time they were a light bread color. I didn't think anything of it until I sat down and bit into it an realized this place has lost it's mojo!! Did ownership change? Did they think we wouldn't notice that they'd cheapen their product? I don't know why everything tasted different, but their quality no longer warrants the line out the door. Eventually, more people will realize what we did today and this place will be toast and not the flavorful toast ;)
This is a great bakery... I had lemon sugar cookie gelato and it was fantastic. Chunks of lemon cookies in the gelato
Our son told us to go early. So we did and we got hot pretzel and pastries. We were going to wait and eat pretzels, but couldn’t. They were warm and out did had nice crunch and middle was soft.Saved pastries for the next morning, we enjoyed all.
Bavarian waffles are amazing and not anything like a waffle. Can't come close to Levenworth without stopping here.
The was nice food ok but terrible customer service
Small cafe great service and the hassle but Danish is the best!!!
I was excited to buy what I thought would be a proper pretzel. We asked if they could heat them up, and were told that since the pretzels were baked fresh daily, they did not reheat them. Fair enough, but then they could have placed them under heat lamps... Because these were stale, underbaked and too salty. Ended up throwing over half of them away.
Looks great but they only take cash or WA check. I would have gladly bought a coffee and treats and paid a card fee.
I was expecting a nice, warm pretzel. Instead, I got a cold piece of cardboard in the shape of a pretzel that was drowned in salt and lacked butter. The cheese sauce was warm, but dry and clumpy. I would not eat here again.
Lots of yummy tasty treats for all ages and beverages brewed piping hot! Cash only! This appears to be a permanent choice as they have an atm located mere feet away from the register. It was a small inconvenience. I had an agreeable drip coffee paired with a marzipan treat. The young lady working was a well oiled machine and had me served quickly. I was quite pleased with the start of my morning.
Amazing customer service and the apple turnover was very good.
I spent more than $30 because i thought it was going to be good. The pretzels were cold, the hot chocolate was disgusting and there was a lot of sugar in it. The pastry’s were full of sugar. I will not comeback to this place.
Delicious treats. Cash only. But they are worth every penny. Made us feel very welcome.
I thought it was great. We got a giant traditional pretzel, some weird cream puff thing, and a tart cake thing in a tin. Cash only.
Casual dining experience. Great food.
Danishes are delicious just need more options not very many choices
I went on Sunday which was much less crowded than it was on Saturday. The strudel was wonderful and my family enjoyed the Bavarian pretzel.
The Blueberry Cream Cheese Danish was amazing and their pretzels were very, very good!
Very good pastries, decent selection, fair prices.
Pastry good.
Friendly service, yummy pastries and pretzels; now accepting cards. Has coffee, Italian sodas, juice, and Redbull Spritzers.
Went here looking for a good pretzel. What I got was an overpriced cold pretzel that tasted at least a day old. Avoid this place. The store is also cash only and they have an ATM inside. The ATM charge is 3 dollars per transaction and goes to the store since they appear to own the ATM. This made a 4 dollar pretzel turn into a 7 dollar pretzel that is served cold.
The salty pretzel is so salty it's inedible. I wonder if these bakers ever try their own goods - don't see how they would be selling it otherwise.Coffee is also very bad.We tried two other pastries - a coconut meringue and a rasperry/cream cheese struedel. These were better but way too sweet.
Pretzels taste sucks 😣.
Loved the place! Fast service, good prices, and everything was super tasty. The kids loved it!
Pretzels were cold and cheese wasn’t very appetizing. I assume you can find better pretzels elsewhere. $.50 charge if you don’t spend $10 on your credit card.
This was so good! Everything tasted amazing! Super long line on a Christmas tree lighting night.
Only had one associate for a long line of people so it was a good wait. They had a few good pastries to try - Apple Strudel, an Almond custard pizza, and a thin, crispy surfboard looking buttercream sandwich cookie.
Whoa nelly. Good stuff. Don't come in hungry.
We came here for breakfast nearly every day we stayed in Leavenworth. Always excellent pastries and pretzels, and got a bag of cinnamon bread to take home with us. We will come back every time we are in Leavenworth, 100% guaranteed.
Good place for a quick bite of pastry with coffee. Better come with cash! If not, there is an ATM located next to the pastry display.
